Lt Gen (Dr) RAKESH SHARMA PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd)

Lt Gen Dr Rakesh Sharma superannuated from Indian Army in 2017, after 40 years of service. He is currently holding Gen Bipin Rawat Chair in USI, is a member of EC of MP IDSA and USI. Gen Sharma is also a Distinguished Fellow with CLAWS and VIF.

He is a profile writer for newspapers and journals and researches on issues of global and regional geostrategy and warfare.

Gen Rakesh Sharma commanded the Fire and Fury Corps responsible for Ladakh and retired as Adjutant General. He is the author of monograph on Determinants of Indian Military Strategy and is currently working in a book on Future Warfare in Indian Context.
