Dmitry Stefanovich
Research Fellow, IMEMO-RAS

Dmitry Stefanovich is a Research Fellow at the Center for International Security at the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO RAS) and a member of the Council for Foreign and Defense Policy (SVOP). He also serves on the Advisory Board of the PIR Center. Dmitry graduated with honours in International Relations from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (NRNU MEPhI). In 2019, he was a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Hamburg’s Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy (IFSH). A member of the first P5 Young Professionals Network (2022-2023), Dmitry is active in Track 2 and Track 1.5 dialogues and various international initiatives. His research focuses on strategic weapons, hypersonic and long-range precision weapons, space weaponisation, and the impact of disruptive technologies on international security and arms control. He has authored numerous publications for academic journals, think tanks, and media outlets.
