Konstantin Bogdanov
Head of the Strategic Analysis and Forecasting Sector at the Center for International Security at IMEMO, Russia.

Konstantin Bogdanov is the Head of the Section for Strategic Analysis and Forecasting at the Center for International Security, Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO) in Moscow, Russia. He graduated from St. Petersburg ITMO University in 2002 as a trained engineer in microelectronics and later earned his Ph.D. in applied mathematics in 2005. Throughout the 2010s, Bogdanov contributed to Russian media on topics of arms control, military-political, and military-technical issues. He joined IMEMO’s Center for International Security in 2018 and, in 2024, became head of the newly established Section for Strategic Analysis and Forecasting. His professional interests lie in military and strategic studies, nuclear strategy, strategic stability, arms control, and emerging dual-use technologies. Bogdanov is recognized for his expertise in analyzing the intersection of military strategy and technological innovation.
