Shri G. Satheesh Reddy
Scientific Adviser to Raksha Mantri

G. Satheesh Reddy is a Scientific Adviser to Raksha Mantri, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, and former Chairman of DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. A graduate of Electronics and Communication Engineering from JNTU, Anantapur, he earned his MS and PhD from JNTU Hyderabad. Beginning his career at DRDL in 1986, he joined the Research Centre Imarat (RCI), advancing under the guidance of Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Dr Reddy played a pivotal role in designing and developing strategic missile systems, including the Agni-5 and indigenous RF and IIR seekers. He has been instrumental in advancing the Ballistic Missile Defence program and achieving self-sufficiency in missile technologies for India. As a recognised navigation expert, he has received numerous awards, including the Homi J. Bhabha Memorial Gold Medal and the National Aeronautical Prize. Dr Reddy is a Fellow of several prestigious international academies, contributing profoundly to aerospace and defence advancements.
